Job Description
• Supporting the preparation of Financial Statements, Statement of Recoverable Cost and Monthly Management Report.
• Preparing monthly and quarterly reports for shareholders and MEM.
• Reviews& approves all Journal vouchers before being posted into the system.
• Reviewing monthly Staff costs and ensuring proper reconciliation done between GL, Payroll module and PASI report.
• In charge of any modification of General Ledger Account code that may include opening anew account code and transfer of amount from one account, code to another, etc.
• Taking onus in meetings in the absence of Chief Accountant.
• Coordinating and supervising the accounts section and executing additional work or responsibilities as required from time to time.
• Ensure that Accounts Section team are adequately trained and competent in matters relating to Recoverable Costs, IFRS Accounting and Budget & Reporting.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the ERP system (Oracle),especially regarding the development and improvement of the Chart of Accounts and system reports.
• Co-operate with Internal &External Financial and Tax auditors requirements.
• Assist to develop & review procedure manuals, policies & reports of the Company
• Identifies ways of improving and implementing the Financial MIS system to satisfy internal and external requirements in co-ordination with Chief Accountant/Senior F&A Manager in line with MEM Regulations
• Ensure that employees under Accounts Section are adequately trained and competent in matters relating to QHSE

Skills Required
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Accounts/Finance
• ACCA /CPA is preferable
Minimum Workexperience:
•At least 10 years in accounting / Finance including IFRS& EPSA Accounting.
•Oil & Gas experience is preferable
•Minimum 3 years experience in Financial reporting
•Minimum 3 years experience in Supervisory Role(ads2)
