About the Job:
We are currently looking to recruit a Legal Counsel for Al Futtaim Corporate Services. Reporting to the GM of Legal, you will support in all consumer finance work for Al Futtaim Finance businesses. You will act as an internal legal counsel, Compliance and AML officer and will involve extensive dealings directly with the AF Finance business. You will have a strong background in reviewing, drafting and negotiating of automotive consumer finance transactions, and undertaking compliance, AML and regulatory functions. This role will also offer and require flexibility in dealing with a variety of other types of transactions.
Specifically, your key responsibilities are as follows:
- Support AF Finance business in reviewing, drafting and negotiating all types of automotive consumer finance documentation, including loan documents.
- Act as the compliance and AML officer for a regulated consumer finance provider, including ensuring the business meets its regulatory commitments, manage regulatory risks, and develop and implement appropriate policies and procedures.
- Manage and develop the relationship with and the requirements of the Central Bank and other regulators, including overseeing relevant administration and licensing requirements and providing regulatory advice and recommendations, monitor regulatory developments and provide guidance on regulations

About You:
The ideal candidate for this role will have a Professional legal qualification in UK, EU, US or other equivalents. Transactional experience in the MENA region a plus. You must have 4 years’ relevant experience as a Legal Counsel. You must be competent and enthusiastic and demonstrate strong legal acumen with a practical commercial approach, excellent drafting and communication skills and has the ability to work well with a large and diverse team. You must be fluent in written and spoken English, Arabic speakers preferred.
