Position: HR Officer
Department: Support Services
POSITION SUMMARY
The ideal candidate will be an HR generalist with a three years GCC management experience in the HR field. The candidate is responsible for providing support in the various human resources functions which include recruitment, staffing, training and developments, performance monitoring and employee counseling, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Human Resources Management
Provide operational support and professional expertise on all personnel matters ensuring compliance with the local requirements, ethical standards and best practices.
- Provide on boarding and induction to new staff in line with mission and vision of the company.
- Facilitate the design and improvement of policies.
- Provide advice and assistance in developing human resource plans.
- Coordinate staff recruitment and selection process in order to ensure a timely organized and comprehensive procedure is used to hire staff.
- Provide advice and assistance when conducting staff performance evaluations.
- Facilitate creation of Job descriptions and KPI’s.
- Standardize and improve mandatory Training (Safety, Health & hygiene, First aid, Emergency preparedness).
- Organize staff training sessions, workshops and activities.
- Maintain human resources software systems and manual filing systems.
- Provide basic counselling to staff who have performance related obstacles.
- Manage medical insurance claims and relationship with providers/ clinics.
Public Relations
Organize periodic renewal of Licenses.
Work closely with the Government Relation Officer to ensure smooth running operation of the Government Relations Department.
Ensure timely submission and renewal of staff’s residence visas, Emirates ID and Group Medical/ Life Insurance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management
Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)/ Professional Human Resource (PHR) qualification
A minimum of 3 years’ experience providing HR support in the GCC.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics
Expert knowledge of UAE labor law
Ability to work autonomously
Excellent communication and cooperation skills
