We provide project management, engineering, and construction expertise across the full field lifecycle. These services are delivered within three operational business units: Subsea and Conventional, Life of Field, and Renewables and Heavy Lifting.
Within Africa, Middle East & Caspian region (AMEC), we safely execute Subsea and Conventional projects which connect seabed wellhead infrastructures to surface facilities such as platforms and floating production systems. We are actively present in a significant number of countries in Africa, Europe, Caspian Sea, Middle East and Asia.
DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION
The resource shall be the focal point of the Company for all technical, contractual, schedule and commercial aspects. The PM manages/coordinates all matters that (may) affect the projects. Especially, but not limited to, project set up and organization, overall execution strategy, main procurement of complex product and Long Lead Items (LLI) including main subcontracts, budget control, overall progress monitoring & commercial aspects (variations and change orders management).
An important aspect is maintaining a lasting positive client relationship while coordinating with the Consortium partner (LTHE) the strategy for successfully delivering the project.
All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices. Additionally, creating a culture of ethics and integrity within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to our Code of Conduct.
SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Oversees all aspects of the day to day management of the project, monitors and co-ordinates the work performed by Engineering, Planning, Finance & Control, Contracts, HSEQ, Operations and subcontractors.
- Responsible for management and execution of all phases of the project
- Represent Subsea 7 in front of Consortium Partner (LTHE) and Client (SAUDI ARAMCO)
- Ensures that project execution is in compliance with the Consortium Agreement (CA) and Main Contract specifications and Client requirements.
- Establishes that performance and delivery criteria are met, project meetings are held, and project documentation is generated, distributed and properly maintained.
- Has bottom line responsibility for all aspects of the performance of the project (technical, schedule, costs, quality and safety)
- Ensure project compliance with Subsea 7 BMS policies
- Responsible for delivering the project as-sold position (or better) and responsible for accurate forecasting together with Project Control Manager.
- Establishing a high-performance safety culture within the project team and Subcontractors
- Responsible for the development, approval and implementation of Project Execution Plan (PEP)
- Oversees the planning and resource allocation of personnel throughout the project
- Define role, responsibilities and authorities for direct reports
- Effectively delegates authority and responsibilities to direct reports
- Ensures that Main Contract, Consortium Agreement and main Subcontracts are correctly administered, including agreement and negotiations to the variations to the scope of works/de-scoping/transfer of scope
- Oversees the proper implementation of Management of Change (MOC) process
- Drives the resolution of issues or conflicts between Subsea 7 departments or with Consortium Partner and/or Client
- Monitors and manages the project risk profile with the assistance of relevant departments
- Overseeing contingency planning and continuous lesson learned collection throughout the entire project life
- Ensures that all direct reports are competent for their jobs and all personnel training requirements are met
- Ensure that the close out activities are properly performed and documented as required by the Main Contract and Subsea 7 internal procedures.
- Authorizes issuance of purchase orders and variation orders to subcontractors.

- Promotion of Subsea 7’s Common Values, Code of Conduct and the Groups HSEQ Policy
- Assisting Regional Project & Operations Director in all areas deemed necessary and appropriate, providing positive contribution to technical, commercial, planning, safety and quality performance of the Middle East operations organisation, in accordance with Client, Contractual, regulatory and Subsea 7 requirements
- Visiting Sites and Vessels to discuss operational aspects/issues on projects and leading by example on Management Visibility from an HSE viewpoint
- Working closely with Regional Management to understand resource needs and provide any necessary support where applicable
- Understanding of the local market and its interaction with other related industries; including a knowledge of competitors, clients and/or contractors, relative market positions, strengths and weaknesses. Awareness of economic, social and industrial trends that may affect the business
- Undertaking any other responsibilities as directed and mutually agreed with the Regional Project & Operations Director
- Participating in global & regional management team meetings, strategy and financial reviews as directed
