CP Technician
Responsibilities:
◘Perform duties involved with CP surveys, testing, evaluation and installation of cathodic protection systems to inhibit corrosion on various on shore and offshore structures.
◘Work with specific objectives and instruction from senior staff on customer drawings and specifications
◘Conduct various specific tests to gather data from field as well as documents for evaluation purposes
◘Conduct specialized surveys like CIPS, DCVG and prepare field reports
◘Conduct ON/OFF, AC/DC interference and diagnostic surveys and prepare field reports
◘Gather structure-to-soil potentialdata, soil resistivity measurements and rectifier data
◘Sketch rectifiers, anodes, test stations, and other design features on prepared drawings
◘Sketch physical features of installation in the site for subsequent details.
◘Assist senior staff in the preparation of survey reports and final job reports
◘Assemble data for preparation of final client report including service recommendations
◘Diagnose and recommend remedies for system difficulties observed during resurvey operations
◘Assemble, trouble shoot CP components, equipment etc. including transformer rectifiers.
◘Provide maintenance of field test equipment, ensure good operating condition and render minor repairs.
Qualifications:
◘NACE CP Level I or II Certification
◘Basic Operator Qualifications required
◘3 years Cathodic Protection system testing and troubleshooting experience required
◘Must be well exposed to different CP system applications in on shore and offshore.
◘Must be able to travel to customer sites each week and sometimes over the weekends
◘Communication skill to work with clients and project team members.
